There is no restriction on the length of the license. Licenses are valid for the lifetime of the product.

What about the length of upgrades and support? Are upgrades to future versions free?

Upgrades are also free for the lifetime of the product. With the registration userid and password you receive after registration, you can download free updates to the edition you bought . Updates can be downloaded by visiting the blackmoon homepage, download tab and entering your user id and password

| Can I upgrade my edition to a different edition (eg, professional to enterprise)? |

No. To upgrade or downgrade your edition you have to buy the edition you want at full price. If you realize you bought the wrong edition after your purchase, email and request a refund, confirm the refund has been processed and then buy the edition you wanted again.

| Which edition should I buy? |

The professional edition is suitable for most people. The enterprise edition is only required if you expect more than 100 simultaneous connects or are running an Active Directory server on a different computer and wish to have the server authenticate users through the Active Directory. If you don't know what an Active Directory is, then do get the Professional Edition

| Can the licenses be easily moved to another computer or survive a reinstallation? |

There is a license manager included with the server that will manage licenses for you. If your computer changes or you move to another computer, you can rename your license with the license manager, or just request a new license be emailed to you.

| Is there a limit to the number of license renames? |
|

If you use the license manager, you can only rename once a month and download your license twice a month. If you need to do a rename more than once a month, you should request the license rename through email at . There is no limit if a license rename or download is requested by email.

| Do I need to buy two copies to use one for testing? |
|
|
No. Registered users can also download the beta edition in addition to the Enterprise or Professional Edition. The beta edition should be used for testing and it will work with your Enterprise or Professional Edition license.
